Kids For Life Kids for Life is devoted to raising awareness of sick and under privileged children and helping Australian networks extend the best care to enrich and brighten the lives of these children and their families. Our mission is to raise funds for programs, research and awareness, to find cures for childhood illness and disease and assist in the welfare of children less fortunate than others. Run by a dedicated group of volunteers in 2008 we will host the 5th Annual Black Tie Ball, 12th April, funds raised will go to our 3 designated projects, The Kids for Life Sensory room for children with Autism; PRaMM Research into premature and Maternal medicine, and the Headstart Club, a breakfast program for kids in a remote Indigenous community in Queensland.   Visit the Kids for Life Website

McGrath Foundation Jane McGrath co-founded the McGrath Foundation with her cricketing husband, Glenn, after her initial recovery from breast cancer. The McGrath Foundation aims to raise money to place breast care nurses in rural and regional Australia as well as educating young women to be ‘breast aware’.   Visit the McGrath Foundation Website

Surf Life Saving Surf Life Saving is the largest volunteer beach safety service in the world – covering 400 beaches and rescuing more than 12,000 people every year. An Aussie icon this charity relies on the generosity of the public to fund its lifesaving programs. Just imagine what would happen if surf lifesavers weren’t there.   Visit the SLSA Website

Bear Cottage

An initiative of The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Bear Cottage is NSW's only children's hospice and is located on Sydney's Northern Beaches in Manly. It is designed as a large beach home, with specialist medical care available 24 hours a day. Families do not pay for Bear Cottage services. Bear Cottage offers; respite care for children and young people with life limiting illnesses and their families; palliative care for when a child is in the end-of-life phase of their illness; bereavement support for parents and siblings after the death of a child. All costs of operating Bear Cottage ($2 million each year) are raised entirely through community donations, no State Government funding is provided.

 Be Centre Foundation

Be Centre Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing psychological services for children who have experienced trauma, physical or sexual abuse, mental health problems, anxiety, depression and behavioural difficulties. Be Centre provides Play and Expressive Therapy for children and young people from 3-19 years. Our purpose is to support these children by providing therapeutic services to prevent serious mental health issues later in life.
